May 30th: As part of Russian Children’s Day, WCF distributed presents to children from disadvantaged families in the Medvedkovo area of Moscow. |

28 May - A third seminar for specialists involved in the Navigator program, organized at the behest of the Moscow Centre for Professional Training. 27 more specialists were introduced to the program from 22 institutions working in mid level vocational education. Each participant was furnished with a set of Navigator course materials, workbooks, a specially designed came called 'Trassa 14-19' and an educational C.D to supplement the materials. |

As a result of the conference on the ‘Resilience’ project, WCF released a film. This allows WCF to effectively spread the word about the ’We Can Do It!’ and ’Children’s Voice’ pilot projects throughout the Russian Federation. |

May 22nd: Play materials were kindly donated by ‘Toysberry’. These will be of great help in supplying the rehabilitation areas in participating children’s shelters. |

May 22 - A meeting of specialists involved in the "We Can Do It!' project for children aged 7-11 years The meeting was chaired by members of WCF and representatives from the Pedagogical Organization 'Cooperation'. Also present at the meeting were teachers and psychologists, as well as some foster-parents who had taken some part in the development of the program the 2007-2008 academic year. |

May 21 - The 'We Can Do It!' program was presented to a meeting of directors of Moscow orphanages and children's institutions. The new program was developed by WCF in conjunction with some of the leading Pedagogical Universities in the Russian Federation, and garnered an impressive amount of interest and approval from those present. In 2009 the program will be developed further and implemented in a eight trial centers in Moscow's Central Region. We are awaiting approval to begin work in a further two trial-centers from late August. |
